I debated with myself about posting this. But since I already posted this on my Chictopia account, I thought I share my slighty long post about Omaha. I was inspired by the Chic in the City contest, I rarely enter these things but I actually like this one. I've been exploring my own city now, I found lots of places, I never thought I could buy things from.

This is my entry for the city in the city contest. I currently live in Omaha, Nebraska. Where high quality fashion is definitely hard to find. I become fascinated with this store called 1/2 for 1/2. It’s located in the midtown area of Omaha. From the outside it looks like any goodwill or Salvation Army. But hidden in the racks full of torn sweaters and button downs with missing buttons, was this incredible find. A Marc by Marc Jacobs blazer, that was never worn; it still had the original price tagged! The store is loaded with plenty of items by designers. You have to dig through racks an look carefully at every item due to that fact the the store buys items from department stores that have been worn and return or damaged.

Also I would recommend checking out Scout: Dry Goods and Trade. It’s Omaha’s version of Buffalo Exchange. I found a few items that are sold by local artists and they always have a great selection of clothes. Unlike most places that sell vintage, it’s never overpriced. Check out their etsy shop.

Please check out the Dundee neighborhood, when you go visit. The houses are beautiful and you could have coffee at Blue Line Cafe or eat some yummy food at Dario’s, the Dundee Dell or Amsterdam. All the people that work there will treat you well. Oh and you might see Warren Buffet.

If you read this whole thing, you deserve a prize or something.

I hope everyone is having great week.

Thanks so much for your comments, I'm trying my best to visit and respond to those. My computer seems to not be showing all my comments. It's very weird..

Kitty!!!

I'm such a kid at heart. I'm so glad I found these old episodes of Sailor Moon. This one is of my faves.

Does anyone remember when it was first on?

I remember gathering all my stuff, so I could get out of my school, in order to make it on time to catch the start of each episode.

Expect more posts with future episodes. Maybe I'll do some sort of inspiration post from the TV show. Not sure, what I'm doing this week. I had one crazy day.

As The World Falls Down

Another Friday, that I choose to stay home, instead of trying to go out.
I currently watching the super sexy, David Bowie in Labyrinth.
Sorry, for that I couldn't resist.

Here's my outfit for the day.

I really happy that I'm taking more photos, even though I think they look like shit.

I'm wearing a dress I got from Von Maur, a few random bracelets (I'm trying to become more comfortable wit jewelry by stacking them), boots from Dillards, and the jacket is Marc by Marc Jacobs.
I love this jacket, it's perfect for those nice, cool spring days. It's a little big on me but I plan on getting in tailored soon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Thanks for all the comments and I was wondering if anyone wants to exchnage links, I will more than willing to do so.

I'm So Weird

Cause I get all excited, when I finally figure out that song that I've had in my head all week!

Seriously, I'm terrible at remembering songs. I heard this on the radio, I've listen to this song over 5 times today.

I finally bought a plane ticket so I can go see my family this summer!

I'm so excited that I've made a polyvore collage.

I'm so excited to wear more shorts and white dresses. I'm in love with the ones in the left corner.

Sigh, why can't school be finish?
Oh well, only 5 more weeks.

Help me!!!

I took a few photos of my outfit. It's really hard to do this without a tripod and with a slow camera.
But this shoot, is a different. I'm showing everyone two items I'm positive that I never taken photos when I wore them.

P3230060

The dress was found a consignment shop and the cotton blazer/ jacket was rescued from my Mom's goodwill bag. It was too cute to give away. Sorry my head and feet are gone but this was the only good shot of my outfit.

P3230070

Well, as you can tell in the photos, the dress does not fit my body in the right way.
The line goes slightly around my chest. But I just love the bottom.
I tried on a elastic belt from Target to see how it would look and I'm not sure either.
I don't know it's this just something I live with.
I'm trying to figure out new ways to style this dress.
I once saw a skirt on a style blog very similar to one I'm wearing. I just need help finding it.

Does anyone here keep onto things that don't really flattered them?
Or is there a way for me to make this look work?
Does anyone else like to take things from their mother's closet?

ps. You all are too kind. I'm so tempted to buy the sunnies from my last post, since everyone seems to see them as a good idea.
No news from the store but I hope they call me soon!

Maybe I Should Buy These?

Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to buy the Alexander Wang glasses from this post. That I just could not see why I needed them.

But I can't resist these sunglasses I found on ShopNastyGirl.com

I sounded like little bitch when I last wrote about my fascination with these. I might buy them, if I received any information about the job interview I had this past week.

Also I another item, I've been tempted to purchase has been a cape.
I'm not sure if I could pull on off.
Any ideas where I could find a cape or caplet?
I'm not sure if I want to go look for a vintage one.

Thanks everyone for reading.
I appreciate all the comments I receive.

Springtime??

Is it Spring yet? I know technically we have a few days before it's officially my favorite season but the gloomy clouds need to freaking piss off.

I guess this can counts towards this 10 things I Like award.( Thanks Audrey !)
I guess you have to write about 10 things you like right now.
You don't have to do this but it would be nice.

1. Some retail therapy. Just to get out of the house, I didn't buy much. I am so picky, that I rarely buy something on impulse.

2.This shoulder bag at Marshalls. It was very much an impulse buy, I grab it when I was standing in the check out line. It's not too big but I can carry lots of stuff in it. Sadly you can't see how pretty it looks that photo.

3. Trying to be more organize. I'm currently doing some spring cleaning.

4. Spring Break, even though the weather seems to disagree

5. Job Interview. I got invited to come down for an interview at this local vintage shop. No clue what to wear but I really hope I get the job.

6. Boys- They seem to be everywhere. I'm not sure why but my failure wit the opposite sex has seem to gone away.

7. Road Trips. I might go to this bookstore in some nearby small town this week. The owner has to be one the coolest people ever. he sue to live in Omaha until he decided to close his shop and move.
I'm really loving bookstores. I haven't a clue what I want to read now but I'm looking out for a couple titles.

8. Pastel Colors- I keep on seeing beautiful girls and boys in light colors now that spring is right around the corner. I'm sick of all the black and grey so I bought this lovely blush pink top.

9. Sunny Day, since Saturday it's been cloudy. I'm looking forward to break out the sandals and floppy hats once the sun comes out of it's hiding place.

10. Friends- I know quite a large group of people. I even consider some bloggers friends and would love to meet some one day. I guess now that everyone started to grow up more, I'm trying not to take advantage of those that matter to me the most right now.

I have to select 10 bloggers-

3. Raez

4. Diya

8. Cici

ps. Thanks for the comments all those my photos are quite blurry.

weekend= lame

I'm so fucking cool. I honestly didn't do anything except watched a couple movies. Most kids spend their spring break at Cancun or Miami; I stay home watching Disney movies on Youtube.
I have a long list of things I want to finish.

First outfit is what I wore Friday. The campus was deserted, so I would of wore something extreme but I ran over and was still late.

Silly me, my eye are squinting in the photo above.
The Dress is from Dillard's , tights are from Target, and the boots are over an year old and they look like shit. I cleaned them but this winter was hell.

This would be such an adorable date outfit, if I can get one.
Target dress, it was 20 when I bought it, then I saw it for like 7 a few weeks later. Boots are something I pick up at Dillards. This year, when I felt like buying a pair of boots, they were either too expensive or out of my size. I still can't find a black pair!

I did edit the one above, more than normal. Not sure if I like it.

My hair is looking super crazy. I need to cut it. Any clue what I should do? Do you or any bloggers you know of have curly hair?
I need hair inspiration.

Love all the comments, I've received. Thanks for being so thoughtful.

All is Well

You know, it's nice to take time away from the computer, relax and put on a few movies.
I grab a few DVDs from my nearby video store.
I'm not a professional movie critic but I finally saw The Blindside. I have to agree that Sandra Bullock gave such a believable performance. Every scene seemed so realistic. I'm surprised I didn't cry at the end. I suggest that those of you whom aren't even that into sports to go see it. It's worth your time.

But, I can't say the same thing for 2012. I joked with my family, that if the world ends like this, I'm going to be so pissed! In fact, the whole movie just made me mad. I felt like punching whomever approved it. I had to watch another movie, just so I would stop complaining.
My time away, I was able to relax and just sleep. I also am happy not to be sick for Spring Break!

I have one week, and I made a small list of things to do.
A have a few DIYs, I want to start and I really need to organize my jewelry drawers. I have two but it's chaos. I can never find what I want to wear. Any recommendations? I love to find a better system for all those little knick-knacks.

Lastly, I posted that I felt to sick to critique my favorite person from the Oscars.
Well, I say that I was blown away by any particular person. I am typically most interested whom is honored that night than by the exceptionally made gowns. But I did love Sandra Bullocks dress. I can't remember whom she wore but looked so beautiful. Also I'm dying to find that same shade of lipstick.

ps. Going to post some outfit shots later. Peace out.

NOM NOM

I'm feeling like crap, again.
Stupid midterms, I feel so stressed out and tired.

Let's all move on from classes and drama in high school
college. I just avoided my computer and blogging this weekend. So I could focus a more on a few tests and homework. I can't also can't help but feel like I'm still in high school.

I can't wait until Spring Break, which is only 4 days away.
Until then, I"m going to treat myself to these yummy cookies. I saw them at Marshall's and I had to buy a box. I love blueberries.

I'm sorry they are just so good, I ate a lot before taking these photos.

ps. Guess who was my best dress for the Oscars? Who did you think looked the best?
I'll post about that and Paris. When I feel better.

I Got Your Number

I'm so glad to hear that many of you would love to wear the Alexander Wang sunnies. Who knows maybe if I find a job, and by luck I can find those. They could be mine.

I have been taking quite a few photos but I don't feel like posting them until I edit them.
It's not a hassle for me to take photos; I just wish I had someone to help me. I just use my desk to balance my camera. I really want a tripod.

Details: Purple Cardigan- ??
T-shirt- Forever 21
Skirt- Target
Tights- Hue (Some kid told me they look like the people from Avatar, I die)
Boots- Dillards
Necklace- Forever 21

I actually like this post, cause I typically never wear jewelry. I might buy more stuff like the one I'm wearing.

Sigh, it's almost the weekend. Maybe I'll do something fun. I really want to see Alice in Wonderland. Should I dress up?

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

These Are So Dumb

I can't help but love these pointed wing Zoro sunglasses from Alexander Wang.

I can just imagine all the snickering and stares on campus.
Hell, I even think they are super weird. I just see someone; i.e., Batman or Catwoman would wear similar ones to keep the sun out of their eyes. Maybe that's why I find them awesome, so that way I can feel sort of like a super hero.
Do you understand what I mean? That buying a certain item can transformed you into another being. Empowering yourself, and becoming inspiration to those around.

Edit:I can also say the same things about music. In case you don't have speakers, I changed my song to be Yellow by Coldplay. I'm in the mood to see them play again.

ps. I'm feeling so romantic and poetic right now.
I need to get some sleep.

Good night everyone.

BOYZ

I'm a rebel, I spelled boys with a "z" instead of "s".
Cause you know, my whole weekend has consisted of cute boys coming up and talking to me. I must be doing something right.

Those of you that read my last post, my friend and I just hung out at a coffee shop and went to a local show. To be honest, my feelings are still at that friendship level. I really appreciated all the dating advice and the encouragement.

I think I explained how I never talk to guys, excepts for the ones I knew since high school and creepers. I've had so many losers ask me out.

That's finally changed, let's just say that Karma is on my side.

I talked to one guy today, never talked to him before. Some psychotic girl kept one touching and flirting with him. I felt so awkward, just cause this was happening right in my personal space.
I decided to I stepped in to talk to him briefly, and ask him to come to seat by my table, just cause he, well, was cute. (Sorry this word keeps on being used).
He actually talked to me, and I can certified that's he not a creeper, bit of an ass but I still see him as cute.

But damn girl was hanging over us like a damn mosquito. She kept on touching him and calling him sweetie. Damn girl, keep away from my man( I felt like saying that.)

I gave him number, I'm such an optimist right now.

Is this really me? I feel sick cause of how sappy I sound.

But here's an awesome snowman I saw at my university.

ps. If you want to follow me, I be glad to do the same.

Thanks. ♥
