Time Flies: 2010

Oh the year is almost over! I'm so excited for 2011 and  any adventures that I will have this next year. I'm super nostalgic reflecting on this past year. I'm always finding ways to improve myself and the blog. I did finally buy new point and shoot for my first trip. I bought so many present for my family that  I had to go for a smaller one. 


I said around this time last year I wouldn't be living in Omaha. I can't believe it's actually happening. Soon, I will be living in Spain. I love my city, as cheesy as this may sound, I do have a large part of my heart here. It's not breaking but I shall miss the quietness of Omaha. 


I finished one resolution to improve my GPA and I'm slowly gaining my independence. I'm finally falling for a guy, but I'll tell you more later.  For now, I want to wish everyone a happy 2011. Please make the most of out your life. I will be back updating very soon in the next year. I will be on vacation for two weeks and will sporadically update tumblr.

Check It Out

Here are some snapshots from my first weekend with my touch camera. I absolutely love it. It's definitely no the best quality but if I'm with friend or see something cool. I just snap away.


One of my first shots. My dog is on my bed and dying for some affection. No worries, she is a pampered pooch. 

This is my dad's office. I came down to have lunch with him. I got an awesome vegetarian quesadilla.  The building is one my favorites. 

I make my own gourmet drinks, such as the one below. It's a peppermint hot chocolate, I used soy milk and a  peppermint creamer. It taste like Christmas. 

 I love this ring from F21. It's definitely a statement piece and it doesn't bother me when I type. 

I'm slowly improving my camera skills. Also I plan on doing more update through my touch on my Tumblr.

I Want To Hold Your Hand

I'm such a freak. After avoiding the mall and other stores, I went a little crazy and bought a tons of stuff! I'll show what I got later. I'm so stoked to be on break. 

I decided to get the iPod Touch instead. It's fucking awesome! I enjoy the cheap camera. It's kind of like the one I currently own, except I can get nice apps to make it look cool.  I so far have only got a few apps and I'm addicted to it!  It's way better than the nano; that I decided to give it to a friend for a present. They don't know that I bought I another iPod, and I can't wait to see their reaction. Also don't worry I never took it out, so it's still wrapped. Tell me any apps, should check out also. 

Shoes- Forever 21

Also, I saw those shoes this week from Forever 21. They are so cute but I have no idea how I would wear them. I need to decide to if I want to buy them first. I'm so broke after buying present for my family and friends.

Okay, I"m ready to leave this arctic blast. I don't enjoy spending my days trap at home because it's below 10 degrees. Granted today was felt amazing because it was 20 degrees. I have only a few weeks, I bought a second ticket to go visit a few friends down in Panama during the holidays. It's going to be so much fun! I can get a tan and go to beach before jetting off to Europe.  


I recently bought a new iPod. Oh yeah, it's the latest nano. It's so much fun to swipe the screen; although I miss the circle movements of my old one. I want to get it engrave with a sweet or romantic quote. If you have a good one, tell me so I can figure out what it should say.

Surprise Me

I had an eventful Monday. I actually ate lunch with people, instead of hiding behind my laptop in the student union. Also in  my French class, we had un Fete de Noel. Some kids brought some fancy drinks and a yule log. We also ate some baguette avec frommage. I bought a bottle of orange soda from Marshalls because it said it was made in  France.


When I  got home, this package arrived from Kristy at Monochromachic. I'm so excited and grateful to have won such a nice giveaway.  Thank you once again!

I'm ready for the week to be over, I only have 4 more classes until finals. Then I finish all my finals next Monday. I hope all you students are doing your best and good luck!

Just Cold

It just became so cold where I live. We haven't got much snow but it still does make for the 30 degree any better. I really would prefer to live somewhere with a milder winter. I dislike having to wear my puffy jacket but it keep me super warm.

Today, I had study aboard orientation. They talk about what to bring and what not to bring, ie: Hairdryer, expensive jewelry, or an overpacked suitcase. I'm not leaving for another month but I'm such an strong-head Virgo, I need to start packing right away. Of course, my super heavy winter coat with not fit without taking at least 20% of my suitcase.  I need help on how I could fit my belonging into one suitcase, although I might bring two, and one carry-on.

If you haven't read this check list from One Bag, It gave me an idea on much I should pack. So, if you live in Europe. Would I need a heavy coat or can I get by with just a few sweaters and a peacoat?

Also, I will be staying in Madrid with a family but I have plans to travel on the weekend, typically to cities in Spain and during breaks to farther cities.

Also I found one decent tourist book about Spanish customs and little info on hotels and food. I need more information, so please help me if you know any other books I should pick up.
