I woke up and thought I might be dreaming because the weather predicted was almost a joke. But today was one of the most pleasant and sunny days ever! It felt so good to walk around without clutching my coat and shivering.

Also next month, I'm doing a 29 days theme challenge post on insta.gram for February. I love any challenge. I few pics over the past month. January has passed by so quick. Although this month and already been eventful. So ready to what happens the rest of the 2012.

I already feel better about this week. The weather has been pretty, sunny and kind of warm. I still have to wear coat but I love winter wear. It's all so cozy and I love wearing lots of layers. Although it's not so practical for classes.
Also I've been working out a lot at the gym. It should help that some of those guys are quite attractive. I'm just too shy to approach any, so I just stick to the free weights and treadmill with my iPod plug in. Maybe, I'll take some time to talk to one of them. Also, I've found that music really does make it seem less tiring. One of these days, I'll post some of my favorite workout songs.

It Won't Be Soon

Hello dear readers, I wish I had something new to report but I'm swamped with readings and homework. I can not wait until December, just because I will finally be done with classes. This weekend, I checked out Ulta and Forever 21.
Naturally, I had to take a picture of what I found. Forever 21 was such a mess but I found a great chain necklace with a crystal pendant. It's the kind of thing that reminds me of something I could find at Goodwill or thrift store. But I really don't mind spending the 4.50 for a necklace at F21.
Also I really wanted to try this color. It's L'Oreal Colour Riche The Balm in 118 Pink Satin. It's super sheer nude, pink shade. I really like this but you can barely tell I'm wearing it. But I shall say it's keep my lips moist and has a sweet taste. I would love to try other shades to see if they are just a sheer or if it is just this color.

Although I claim to be a diehard girlie girl. I have one issue, I really never wear or buy jewelry. I've worn the same pieces for awhile so it's very unlike me to buy trendy, costume jewelry. I guess I'm starting to see the appeal in layering lots of jewelry. Also I really enjoy the all the inspiration online. I feel like making a couple adorable DIY friendship bracelets. I would love to start building a better collection. I love seeing those pictures with girls, some fancy guys, showing off their rings and bracelets.

Dearest readers,
Three long and amazing years have gone by since I clicked create blog and posted. I was so utterly terrified. I think I nearly cried when I got my first comment. I might not be consistent on blogging but I do love sharing my life and photos. Three years, I've come along ways. I felt so childish and silly writing my first posts. I have grown to love many things. I would have almost never talked to so many people. I finally found a outlet to talk about champagne and shoes. I would write everything single person a thank you note but it would be rather foolish.

Thank you, Merci, Gracias, Grazie.....

Instead I post all my thanks, a million times over to every single person that has left me a comment or email.
Also I during most special occasions, such as birthday and anniversaries, I would bake adorable cupcakes and sweets. Instead I checked out the amazing Jones Bros. Cupcakes. They sell stellar macarons also, which satisfies any cravings since I left Europe.

I wish I could take each one of my readers eat there. Sigh.

It's such a hectic week. Start of another semester and I will probably posting more sporadic during the next few weeks. Once again thanks for all the support.

The New Year

I've realized that I suck at planning. Come New Years Eve, I had nowhere to go. So I stuck around my house drinking cheap wine and passing time on tumblr. I watched the ball drop along with the family, but I do not have any regrets from that night. It made me smile thinking about where I was last year and how much I've grown into an adult.
During that night, I wondered what could happen during 2012? Will this be my big year? I'm not one to share private thoughts but I want to get working on my resolutions. I feel a need to share some below.

Some of my resolutions for 2012:
1. I'm trying to gain more confidence this year. It's time I stop being timid around strangers and become more open towards different things.
2.Post one outfit a week. I'm convinced I can do this. I haven't done a proper outfit post in a long time. I took a few today! Also I want to post more of my writing on the blog.
3.Be positive. Not everything is perfect and time will make things better. Also I want to go out and smile more.
4. Finally, buy a designer bag. I'm not going to lie, this one seems to be selfish. But I want to indulge myself after working to hard to finish my degree.

Going Out With A Bang!

The weekend passed by so quick. I got to see all my close friends and family members. I've truly had so many reasons to celebrate through out the year. I've met so many wonderful people and fortunate to pursue one of many passions. I've been so happy these past few days. One of the many, came as an early Christmas present. I found out I passed my math class which made for the best Christmas present.Along with a few gift cards and leather boots.
My mom treated me to a haircut last week. It's much lighter than in the photo. I love the look of my hair right now.

Trying to decide on what to wear for NYE. I don't have any concrete plans but I just want to sparkle. (Please don't say any Ke$ha references). I bought this coat from a consignment store for 20 dollars! It's such a great fit. I'm thinking that I would wear slim pants, white blouse and just add some simple jewelry. Hopefully, this New Year's will be memorable. May you enjoy the rest of 2011 and happy 2012 from me to all you lovely girls and guys!

Winter break has started off better than expected. I'm done with shopping for next weekend. Today I went to this amazing new restaurant and I ate some spicy fish tacos. Sadly I forgot to bring a camera but it gives me a reason to go back.
I spent most of the day watching Gossip Girl. I haven't seen many episodes since season 3. It's getting more addicting and I keep on swooning of the wardrobe. I miss watching the drama between Chuck and Blair. So glad I started that I'm considering watching the all the seasons. Do you have TV show recommendations? Anything I've been missing?

I ~~passed~~ survived my exams! Now it's time to kill time on Netflix and hang out drinking with my friends. I plan on being a total bum for the next three weeks. Who am I kidding, I'm a workaholic. I guess that's the part of being a Virgo. I love being occupied. I have small list of things I'd like to accomplish.
1. Buy a NYE outfit. I need a dress and some sexy heels.
2. Go ice skating. I haven't tried in years but it sounds like so much fun.
3. Bake cookies with my sister.
4. Buy a gift for my parents.
5. Find a boy to kiss at midnight. Such an ideal way to begin 2012!

Look, I'm wearing cute clothes; the sweater and necklace, I picked up from Forever 21. The ring I bought at a flea market in Spain. I had a few grad parties this weekend. I felt so proud to see my friends walk across the stage. I can't wait for my own ceremony next year! Also, how serious or unamused do I come off in this picture? I swear I do actually smile.

Oh, hell. no! The snow finally arrived. I woke up a few days ago to three or four inches. I expected a little bit through out the week. Just imagine, little me running around my university in a parka hood. I can't help but think that I look like shit. This whole week my outfit consisted of heavy sweaters, skinny jeans and boots. I'm so ashamed of my appearance during finals. I can't wait to bust out of my rut for New Years. I feel like posting my resolutions for 2012.

I'm almost done for the semester. Words cannot explain my excitement. Although, I wish I could head down south. A beach and a magarita sound like a perfect escape from the freezing ice storms. In between wanderlusting, I dedicate my time hitting the book. Goddamn, final exams! If I survive the stressful nights and pain, I promise to post outfits. So not happy about the cold weather. I try to make the best of winter. Although, I completely loathe the cold and the snow. I'm trying to avoid going all black and making the most of my closet.
My best friend and I check out the local anthropologie. I couldn't afford anything, except a small perfume. It smells like a sweet summer garden. I miss the summer. I would love to escape during winter break. Can I just fantasized about laying by the pool and drinking mojitos all day?
No, I have finals and I sort of need to study. Also some projects to finish instead I fucked around and made a playlist. I wish I had somebody around to listen to some good music and enjoy a simple meal while drinking a bottle of wine.

I'm not going to lie, I'm addicted to playing around on polyvore. I haven't used in in forever and all the sudden I'm back to making sets. It's one my favorite hobbies during the winter because I can't handle the cold and I did not have to work this weekend. I had spent such a lovely time with the family. I hung out with the family Thanksgiving day. We had an intense game of Apples to Apples granted the whole table finished 3 bottles of wine in two hours! Later I went out drinking with my brothers and their friends. I went out to store at 5 am during Black Friday. I found boots for my sister. I also loading my cart full of college football items. All the men I know love football.
As for myself, I'm trying to give hints to my own. I think it's clear that I love neon and bold colors, glitter and leather. So many goodies that have caught my eye. I plan on posting more later.
1. Leather coat, this one reminds me of the Olsens, enough said.
2/ 8. Laptop sleeve I hopefully shall get a new laptop sleeve or purse. My backpack is barely surviving the semester.
3/5 Shoes, I swear every list I include shoes. They are my biggest weakness.
4. Lime Crime Lipstick. I want them all!
6. I already mention to my parents the new Nikon J1 camera. My mother loves the variety of colors. She might get one for our trip next summer. The rest is just clothes and beautiful accessories

Being Thankful

The year is almost done and it's going to be such an excited time. I have so many plans for 2012. But right now, I've been reflecting on all that has happen this year.

Things I'm Thankful...

1. . Family. This whole week my brother from the Marine Corps is visiting before setting sail across the Pacific. I wish my brother best. He's so warm and kind. I hope he comes home safe.

2. Black Friday sales. It's time to suck it up and try to find the best deals around the city. Most stores are crazy, but I'm really love going to small locally own stores. Support Local Saturday this weekend while visiting the family. Besides, I go to the mall and want to leave after one hour. Too many crazies!

3. Holidays. I'm such a sucker for the winter festival's in my hometown. The downtown area is all lit up all night long. It looks so magical. I must take pictures this year. Also I enjoy Starbuck's holiday treats. I wish I could treat more

4.Recently received an honors award from the university. It was such a lovely evening with my peers. I was so excited to received it after working so hard all year.

Family Drama

Hey readers, I've said how much I love the mutiple choices for dressing during fall. It's so easy to wear an outfit that keeps myself warm and comfortable in the morning. By the afternoon, I don't have to removed any items because it's still cool enough to wear layers.

I'm so excited for Thanksgiving next week. My whole family is coming to Omaha. Also it's my adorable grandpa's 80th birthday during the same weekend. Now to figure out what to wear to both events. I don't plan on dressing up too much. I've been told that over 60 people will attend both events. I'm one of 40 nieces and nephews! My family most likely will be have a variety of worn light colored jeans, ~~ironic~~ slogan t-shirts, aged college sweatshirts, and dusty work boots. I never worry about how they dress but I tend to hear some mocking about my clothes.

My wardrobe is slightly different.I love wearing dresses to any type of event but I considering my family style. I try to tone it down but I can't help but show off my "princess" status. My cousins swear that I am from my mother's side of family, that makes me feel like a black sheep. I don't understand why they call me out for taking time to put on makeup or buy clothes all the time. I don't me to whine. I hate that seems that I only care all about me. I understand that they might never accept my style. I'm proud to stand out of the crowd. I'm not going to stop anytime wearing heels and skirts. Does any one feel like a style snob around the relatives?

I went to my favorite restaurant during the weekend. I get the occasional craving for sushi and I was so stoked to go to Sushi Blue on Saturday night. I Don't Know You At All

Where did this week go? I'm ready for weekend. I plan on checking out a few parties and taking a break from exams and homework. Also, I did pass my math test this week. I tried to hold back my tears, last week after failing two quizzes. I told my family my discouragements about this class. I never felt so relieved after . I really need to pass this class to graduate next spring. I really wish I could take a small trip. I'm constantly looking for good travel deals. I'm surprised how well the photos turned out, I only had a few minutes before running to class.

I felt the need to reward myself after working so hard this month. It's time to go shopping! Now I found two beautiful pieces this week. I had a dream about being a mermaid the other night. Sounds like a lovely idea for Halloween, right? Well when I google mermaid, I saw some creative ideas for Ariel, my favorite Disney Princess. I wanted to avoid the cliche. Also, I hate all those cheesy mermaid costume. I decided that I shall find my inspiration via, polyvore. I felt so drawn to this idea of wearing blues and greens. Hello dear readers, my goodness it's been a whole week. But I appreciated reading all your comments. I didn't think I would get so many. Thanks for cheering me up! Oh, I really should be studying for midterms right now. I just have a problem focusing on one topic. Much of my time is spent is setting my books near the computer, so other people think I'm studying.

I hate being all stressed out. I was so occupied during the weekend, studying for a math test. I just had the chance to snap a few photos during Saturday Brunch at Lisa's Radial Cafe in Omaha. I chose their sensational Stuffed French Toast. They filled it with pumpkin and cream cheese. I shared it with a plate of Egg's Benedict's with my mom but I really didn't want to give up the second part. Also they gave me the choice of coffee or hot cocoa. I went with the hot cocoa. I love how they made it. It reminded me when my mom would give my siblings and I mugs of hot cocoa when we arrived home after school in the winter/ fall.

I hope everyone has an amazing week. Time for me to hit the books and study hard.

Golden Days

I'm finally back! I feel like I'm almost never home. Either I'm working or in a classroom. It was wonderful to get outside of my routine. I felt like staying home this weekend. Just time to curl up on the sofa and watch a few flicks. Yay!

Last weekend, I saw the beauty of the country side. I would would be so comfortable to country living, if I had reliable transportation and frequently visited the city. According to the people I talked to along the way and back, Omaha be would such a challenge and they would never move to such a large community. I giggled because I had to sympathize with their mindset of the about lifestyle large city. I went inside this country store that sold things like camo hunting gear and yummy fudge. I just had to take photos of the animal displays. It's so creepy but that's one of the reasons I love it.

I have a weakness for small towns. I love the quaint stores and cozy cafes. I use to dream about moving into a small town and becoming friends with the whole town. But I love living in a city. It's easy to move around here and I love the diversity in my area. Also I'm constantly finding a new hangout or local treasure. So my dear readers, what would you prefer the peace and tranquity of a country town or the constantly changing city?

It's Fall!

My weekend was fabulous! I ventured outside of my small community into the country side of Nebraska. My family has a tradition of picking apples during The Apple Festival in Nebraska City. I feel like such a little kid going outside, walking around the historic farms, and eating caramel apples. It's feels like Disneyland. The overcast sky made it feel deary but still we made the most of the day.

We drove over an hour through the thick golden fields. It's such a stereotype of my state but people are proud of being from the Cornhusker state.Besides look how lovely are those wild flowers. I did buy lots of cider and apples. It's such a perfect treat for the cooler nights.

My week is going to be so crazy. I have to work on projects and I have a small road trip up to North Dakota. Once again thanks for reading.

This Labor Day weekend eneded up being a 4-day weekend for myself. No class on Tuesday! Oh, where have the time gone? The summer feels like it just started. Why do all good things have to end? I'm not mentally prepare to go through that awkward transition from summer to fall. Oh, classes just started. It's a little complicated the first week of courses. I'm so lost half of the time. I guess it's the hazards of being a wanderer. I've started my readings for French. It's basically the most inspiring class I've had in a long time. some of classes are so intimidating. I've always been quite nervous speaking a foreign language. I just need to get over my shy demeanor.

We had this great event over in Omaha. No, I'm not talking about Omaha Fashion Week. (Boring!) Instead I hit up the free concert downtown at the Slowdown. Great layout for the free events and I could hear the music blocks away. Sadly, I didn't win the free iPad but I had a killer time listening to the bands all evening. Perfect night outside. My friends are freaking adorable! We took photobooth snapshots for the memories and got our fortune told by a creepy machine gypsy, like in BIG!

There are just someday, I find myself in a pretty dress and manage to get a decent photo. I'm such a little perfectionist that I never post a picture unless I feel like it's something special. That's exactly how I feel about this dress. I just never thought I would of found it inside of JCPenny's.

I was so obsessed with MANGO while I was living in Spain. I bought quite a few lovely tops and accessories abroad. I was so upset that I would need to pay online shipping here in the US. Imagine my face when I found out this past weekend that MNG by MANGO, could be found in the local mall. The dress is by far one the most appealing items I saw in the store. I ran all over the mall looking for blue shoes after buying the dress. Sometimes I get ideas that matching is not a fashion faux-pas. I'm so sad that classes began this Monday. I'm just ready to get this year done and graduate!

Le sigh... this weekend a friend invited me to go out but I had to decline the invite. It's a little bit of struggle with social life right now. If I go out I most likely will rejected because I'm not 21!

I feel like trying some new things out to see if can try to write a post every day this week. All over the TV, the commercials are talking about back-to-school, I'm getting ready right now. I'm such a stereotypical nerd. I feel so fired up talking about school supplies; smooth pens, the smell of notebooks, finding out the best deals off amazon for my college textbooks, stocking up on pain medicine for those countless headaches.
Of course, I would never neglect the best part of back-to-school shopping. Here are some essentials to sweeten of the start of the new year.

1. Large tote for carrying around your books, notebooks, pens, pads, or whatever else you can't live without. I would not buy any cheap bag for the the year. You want something that will last all the bumps. I can't not emphasis this enough that cute canvas tote from Target will not last three months at university. Or if you worry about back problems, check out urban outfitters or ASOS for cute backpack options.

2. Comfy, Flat Shoes. I understand that some girls have the endurance to wear 5 inches and above all day but dearies think about all those icy steps, possibly running late to class exams or trying to catch up with the hot guy in Spanish, do you honestly think you want to be wearing a pair of Lita boots? I honestly believe that heels are classic and timeless but there's a time and place for everything. Flats are way more practical for when you have to get across a busy campus in 15 minutes or less. Personally, I plan on getting a pair of TOMS shoes, for the new school year. Also, who can't resit supporting such a wonderful cause.

3. Pens and Paper, it's crazy the amount of time students spend on their computer. It's okay to use for taking notes in big lectures. Rather when in a more intimate class, I bet the professor would gather see their students engaged then staring at a screen. So many beautiful choices for a notebooks, and I really do not need to post any suggestion but here are my favorite pens EVER! So many colors and perfect for small highlights and organizing your day-planner.

I hope some of your girls that are going back dominate the school this year. I'm ready to check out some more back to school basics. It's the weekend now and I'm going shopping!

I Saw A Crazy Blonde

So in Nebraska, the people are constantly gossiping about some music chick. I guess she's pretty well know for wearing crazy avant garde outfits and painfully high heel shoes. She's made appearances on tons of international programs, won loads of awards, etc. I'm sort of trying to figure out how to explain my emotions about seeing Lady Gaga.

Let me state, that I'm not one of those crazy fanatics that worship her. I'm truly just a humble music/ fashion admirer. I came to support my younger sister and her friends. I took some photos with them around her.

Also it was super awkward for me. I didn't have a sign, I wasn't screaming or crying. I kept my composure but I did tell her hello when Gaga passed by me. She gave me such a gracious smile, then was raided by a bunch of anxious teens begging her to sign magazine clips or CD covers.

The only question I wanted to ask her if she could lend me her first dress? In case you are curious, she wore a lace short white cocktail dress inside, then changed into the golden beige full length dress. Simply fabulous, maybe a little too fashion forward because not a single person knew what she was wearing.

Overall, I was so flattered. I hope to see her perform in the future.

I'm not the type to complain about summer. In fact, I really need to moved somewhere that doesn't suffer from a frigid, icy winter. But holy shit, I'm fucking melting. Listen up kids, I can't control this weather but I don't want pass out from heat exhaustion. I guess this heat isn't going away soon, so I want to get creative and have fun. Besides, I only have a little over until I go back to college. But since none of my friends seem to be in town. I have to entertain myself all day on tumblr.

I think I picked one of the best times to come home. I went to my cousin's wedding this past Fourth of July Weekend. I had a such a panic attack to find a pair of shoes though. I bought these beautiful sparkly espadrille wedges, literally hours before. There from Dillards, you can check them out here. They are so perfect for a romantic evening or a special event. I fell so hard for the sparkles. Also I wore them while dancing because of the wrap around strap. I didn't feel like I was going to snap an ankle or stumble to the ground. I'm such a klutz!

I feel like time is against me. I felt like I had no time to breathe. I went from crazy anxiety to not having anything. I'm feeling a little lost right now. Why, some of you may ask?
Well, my six months in Spain has just finished. So, that meant having to pack up all my stuff and move back to Nebraska. I spent my last few days just hanging out with friends and walking around seeing some beautiful sights.

A lot has changed in these past months, I definitely feel so different. Even my own style has changed. I'm hoping to document more and more these following months. I'm back at my parent's house, so posting and reading will not be a problem anymore. I'll catch up with all the blogs I follow later this weekend. I'm so stoked to be home for the Fourth of July.

Oh, it's been awhile. I'm only 3 weeks away from going home. I'm still not ready to go back there. My family came to see me, let'me just say that I did a shit load of things. We went shopping, ate tons of yummy food and I saw Toledo! Let me say that it's too pretty for words.

Too Much Cuteness

I went a small excursion with some lovely British kids to the Madrid Zoo-Aquarium. It was one of my favorite parts of Madrid! They had a large variety of animals.

The zoo main attraction is easily the two baby Panda Bear cubs. No joke, I spent over 30 minutes taking pictures and watching them move around. They are such clumsy creatures. I was just happy they were sleeping.

It's hard not to smile at these small pictures. My favorite is when the zoo keeper came out to see how the cubs were doing. He looks like an father scolding his small children. I seriously wanted to give one of them a big hug!

I'm so excited that it's finally May! I have only three weeks until my family comes to visit me and I only have a few more weeks of classes. Sadly. that means my stay here will be soon be over. I'm not ready to go home.
I should figure out any small trips that I would like to do.

I've tried to get back in the States after watching so many review about it on youtube. I will have to concur with the commentaries, that it's amazing! Four Kicks

I'm so ready for classes to be done. I just need some time away from Madrid. I'm planning a small weekend trip to Paris in June and maybe I'll go to Barcelona in May. I also would love to see a few other cities in Spain.

Last week, I went out with my one of my friends for a few drinks. I want to dress up a bit to impress one of the guys. I know that's a bit silly but I really like him.

Break Time!

I've never been more relieved to have one week free from classes. It's so stressful to be in a bunch of courses, and on top of that I'm not a native speaker. I'm entirely grateful to my classmates for helping me translate some subjects.

Now, I'm finding way to save my money. I've been so bad. I bought four pairs of shoes in past two months. I'm not sure if I feel this shameful. But most of them are super comfy and practical for my daily use and wear.

I'm not a high heel fan. I do love the sexy appeal that any pair of 5 inch heels can bring to an outfit but I'm terribly clumsy to wear them all day long. Besides, running to catch the metro or bus in skirt is hard enough. I truly admire those girls that wear those sexy shoes all day long. No worries, I always bring a pair of flats in your bag, when I'm feeling adventurous and want to rock those heels.

I found one of the most perfect little parks. I went on a small excursion in my Medieval History course. This garden was built over a thousand years ago. Sadly, I can't remember the name but it was made for one of the Moor kings of Spain. But I know if you go to It's so fascinating to be in a country with such rich history and being able to walk around the city to admire the ruins. Although, you would have to leave Madrid to see more medieval ruins. Most of the them were destroy to build more recent structures during the 16th and 17th C. I get so excited, when I talk about historical places and people.

Lately, I've been in a major funk. I can't decide what to wear. I'm realizing that I having nothing but black clothes is super depressing. I did just bring clothes they were white, black or brown. Oh, how true those words are. I'm trying to get by in Europe with very little but enjoying every single minute I'm here. I'm still in disbelief that I've been here over two months!

I've been careful with managing my money. I can easily get into my old habits of excessive spending. I'm trying to keep my mind simple. Only buying clothes and shoes every few weeks. Besides, I would much rather travel than buy a new purse.

I have done a little shopping last week. I went with a friend to buy some new tops for the warmer weather and I even purchase some jewelry. Then we found a Lush shop, I had to go in to pick up some yummy goodies.

Anyways, I'm going to visit friends outside of Madrid.

Let's Pretend

Hola Chicas! So I spent my whole weekend around my little flat. I was too tired to really do anything. I finally have time to do a massive photo post!

I wandered around Valencia trying to see as many Fallas, as I possible could. But my small group had to stop because we had an kid with an injured ankle. Need to be careful around broken glass, kids! The decorations are so extravagant, but some were a little perverted.

The hoards of people in small areas made it damn near impossible for me to take decent photos. During the night, I had to get on top of tables and chairs in order to take photos without some random stranger's head being in half the picture. Oh, so many challenges I have to face for only being five feet tall.
But there are some advantages, such as having cute guys carry us around.

These kids are my new best friends. I can't believe I came thousands of miles to studied here in Spain and somehow along the way I met a group of Australian students. I'm strangely attracted to Anglophiles. My group, typically consists of Americans, Aussies and Brits.

Let It Burn

I´m currently dying to show you all, the pictures a friend of my mine took this weekend. A huge group of students from my university went on a small bus trip to Valencia for Las Fallas.

Las Fallas is a week long celebreation where they build paper-mache floats and on the last night set them on fire! It´s so fucking loud because the whole city is out on the streets; playing music, drinking, eating and setting off fireworks.

It was kind of chaotic. Most of my friends were completely wasted. I was one of the few exceptions because I wanted to see the city and fires instead of getting drunk in a club. My group also had a huge party in a public park, that involve all of the above.

But instead all I have is a broken computer and my friend with the awesome camera hasn´t given me the photos. So sad!

I´m going to try to post more about the festival this weekend, if I can get my computer working!

Prayer For Japan

If you had any idea of the current devastation in Japan, you would completely understand why I'm posting this. I'm too heart-broken to go on and on about my frivolous adventures in Europe. When I first heard about the earthquake and tsunami, I was with a fellow exchange students from Australia. We both nearly broke down crying. One of them has a brother living in Japan, super close to all the areas with my most damage from the tsunami. Luckily, he was able to contact him that day to discovered his brother was okay and that he will probably have to return to Australia or the UK.
Another student, had spent several weeks in Japan. Many of her friends, are currently living in tents or without basic essentials, such as, water or electricity.
If you just look at these images taken by satellite of the before and after of Japan. If you didn't tear up a little bit, you might need to consider finding a soul. Remember people live in those areas, thousands are missing and every day, the authorities are finding more bodies.
I'm hoping after reading about the personal experiences from Chic-Steals and Rumi, both gave me chills. Also both ahve plenty of reccomendation to donate money to help those affected.

Things I LOVE about Spain

1. The streets. I´m just becoming more and more interested. Last night, a friend and I wander around for over an hour looking for a museum. Granted when we arrived if had just closed it doors and people were making their way out. It was still nice to walk in Madrid. I just adore theose romantic nights. I promise next time, I will take a photo. But for now I´m letting the memories float around my little head.

2. Boys, boys, boys. Although I found some rude or just plain sleazy , it's easy to find some cute guy to accompany to a bar.

3. Eating tapas late at night. I'm loving the late night food runs. I much rather go from bar to bar eating my way through the plates full of cheese and meats. I personally love calamare sandwich and shrimp. Seriously, I found two areas in Madrid that have loads of bars and are super cheap.

4.cheap travel. I 'm planning a few trips around Europe during our Easter break. I'm so excited because we are going to Prague and Italy! It's going to be hard for me to update ever week but I'm trying to get the Internet at home.

Hola guapas! I'm so ridiculously tired and sick from this weekend. It's so crazy to be on a bus with 50 Europeans, one Australian and a few other Americans. Seriously, people were throwing wine and water all over each other! It was basically an huge party from the time we left Madrid last Friday afternoon to when we arrived late Sunday.

Stars of Track and Field

feel like I'm obligated to post something. I've been Spain for almost three weeks. It's been crazy. I'm not a party-girl but Madrid's party scene is hard to resist.

I tried Absinthe and walked around drunk a few nights ago. It was alright because I had two very attractive men walk me back home.

Also I completely adore this Italian guy, that was in my class. I'm a such a big flirt. I literally am going boy-crazy in this country. I find some cute guy with an accent and I'm ready to make out with him. Too bad, that never happens.

Also no worries, I've been super good on a shopping. I don't have a lot to show off. I went to Zara and bought blazer with missing buttons. I'm excited to find a new set of buttons.

Overall, I've chilling a lot in the bars. I'm so not ready to begin regular classes but I'm going to travel around the Spanish country side next weekend. Best wishes and I'm hoping to read more blogs this week, considering NY Fashion Week is happening right now.

I made it to Spain in one piece! I'm still jet-legged but it's been quite an experience. My classes haven't even started and I do miss my home. I guess because I'm trying so hard not to miss it. I'm trying to get over my homesickness by going outside. I really don't like staying all day in my apartment. If you have ever been to Spain, give me some ideas I should do or places I should visit.

But I do love Madrid. It's so beautiful. Last night, I wandered around with some friends to La Plaza Mayor. I nearly cried though because I broke my camera. I have no idea what to tell my parents. I've only been a few days and I screwed up big time. If you know how I could fix it in Europe. Please help me!

Last Outfit in Omaha

So I had a little party to say goodbye. It was so bittersweet. I hate saying good-bye to people. It's going to be hard to leave but I know this is one of the best decision I've ever made.

I have two suitcases filled with all I need for the next six months. I can't wait to see what else I can add to my closet.

Oh the year is almost over! I'm so excited for 2011 and any adventures that I will have this next year. I'm super nostalgic reflecting on this past year. I'm always finding ways to improve myself and the blog. I did finally buy new point and shoot for my first trip. I bought so many present for my family that I had to go for a smaller one.

I said around this time last year I wouldn't be living in Omaha. I can't believe it's actually happening. Soon, I will be living in Spain. I love my city, as cheesy as this may sound, I do have a large part of my heart here. It's not breaking but I shall miss the quietness of Omaha.

I finished one resolution to improve my GPA and I'm slowly gaining my independence. I'm finally falling for a guy, but I'll tell you more later. For now, I want to wish everyone a happy 2011. Here are some snapshots from my first weekend with my touch camera. I absolutely love it. It's definitely no the best quality but if I'm with friend or see something cool. I just snap away.

I make my own gourmet drinks, such as the one below. It's a peppermint hot chocolate, I used soy milk and a peppermint creamer. It taste like Christmas.

I'm such a freak. After avoiding the mall and other stores, I went a little crazy and bought a tons of stuff! I'll show what I got later. I'm so stoked to be on break.

I decided to get the iPod Touch instead. It's fucking awesome! I enjoy the cheap camera. It's kind of like the one I currently own, except I can get nice apps to make it look cool. I so far have only got a few apps and I'm addicted to it! It's way better than the nano; that I decided to give it to a friend for a present. They don't know that I bought I another iPod, and I can't wait to see their reaction. Also don't worry I never took it out, so it's still wrapped. Tell me any apps, should check out also.

Also, I saw those shoes this week from Forever 21. They are so cute but I have no idea how I would wear them. I need to decide to if I want to buy them first. I'm so broke after buying present for my family and friends.

Okay, I"m ready to leave this arctic blast. I don't enjoy spending my days trap at home because it's below 10 degrees. Granted today was felt amazing because it was 20 degrees. I have only a few weeks, I bought a second ticket to go visit a few friends down in Panama during the holidays. It's going to be so much fun! I can get a tan and go to beach before jetting off to Europe.

I recently bought a new iPod. Oh yeah, it's the latest nano. It's so much fun to swipe the screen; although I miss the circle movements of my old one. I want to get it engrave with a sweet or romantic quote. If you have a good one, tell me so I can figure out what it should say.

I had an eventful Monday. I actually ate lunch with people, instead of hiding behind my laptop in the student union. Also in my French class, we had un Fete de Noel. Some kids brought some fancy drinks and a yule log. We also ate some baguette avec frommage. I bought a bottle of orange soda from Marshalls because it said it was made in France.

When I got home, this package arrived from Kristy at Monochromachic. I'm so excited and grateful to have won such a nice giveaway. Thank you once again!

I'm ready for the week to be over, I only have 4 more classes until finals. Then I finish all my finals next Monday. I hope all you students are doing your best and good luck!

Just Cold

It just became so cold where I live. We haven't got much snow but it still does make for the 30 degree any better. I really would prefer to live somewhere with a milder winter. I dislike having to wear my puffy jacket but it keep me super warm.

Today, I had study aboard orientation. They talk about what to bring and what not to bring, ie: Hairdryer, expensive jewelry, or an overpacked suitcase. I'm not leaving for another month but I'm such an strong-head Virgo, I need to start packing right away. Of course, my super heavy winter coat with not fit without taking at least 20% of my suitcase. I need help on how I could fit my belonging into one suitcase, although I might bring two, and one carry-on.

If you haven't read this check list from One Bag, It gave me an idea on much I should pack. So, if you live in Europe. Would I need a heavy coat or can I get by with just a few sweaters and a peacoat?

Also, I will be staying in Madrid with a family but I have plans to travel on the weekend, typically to cities in Spain and during breaks to farther cities.

Also I found one decent tourist book about Spanish customs and little info on hotels and food. I need more information, so please help me if you know any other books I should pick up.

I finally did it, no I didn't get a goddamn camera. Rather, I purchased an one-way ticket to Spain. I'll be arriving soon, so I'm in dire need of assistance. I want to be able to travel quick and cheap as possible.Below are my top ten cities that I must see.

Guess who does have school until next week? I do! So to start off the holidays, but also a short break from classes. I just wanted to post a mini wishlist. I'm very detailed oriented when comes to things I want and buy. I seriously have spent this last trying to find a good deal on a camera. I hope this one website will have the one I want!

Also, I realize that I have three different types of cameras. I'm fascinated by photography. It's becoming one of my biggest obsessions. I'm dying to own a DSLR, but that will use mainly for personal photos, but I want to be able to explore my abilities with the so beautiful Diana Mini. I just adore the petite white one that recently came out. No worries about the film because I know of a few places that still develops 35mm. Although I might be a little shocked by the prices. Also, I'm madly in love with instant film. One of my friends owns the little Fijifilm Instant Mini, says it's nice for nostalgic pictures. I think if be so wonderful to bring one with me to Europe next year.

This year, I also probably will try head on over to my local Target to buy a new iPod touch. My iPod is nearing its demise. The poor thing barely lasts two hours. Also another personal electronic on my list is that Stila Make-Up Train. I need one for all my makeup that I plan on bringing. It's super cute, because I can plug-in my iPod. Just imagine me trying to dance while putting on eye-liner.

Also not to be neglected, I hope to find a that leather backpack for a cheap price this Friday. My mom has quite a few coupons. We are both big bargain shoppers and can't resist Black Friday sales. I sometimes hate Nebraska. How can one place go from a semi-warm 60 degrees to below freezing in a few days? On Friday, we were just suppose to get some freezing rain. But this horrible white shit fell to the ground and thankfully, dissipated the next day. Oh, I've been dreading snow. Last winter, I spent so much time stuck at home because the weather and it's not going to be as tragic since I will be in Madrid this January!

I've been seeing so many pictures of other girls' shoe collections. Granted, I do not make enough to buy a pair of Louboutins or Sam Edelman. I do love the shoes I have and I treat them very well, and my best friend says I'm a crazy impulsive shoe whore. I have way to many boxes, so I finally bought a shoe divider. It's kind of cheaply made and I had to buy two to get rid of most of boxes. It's a little relief that I don't have to open 10 or 15 different ones in order to find a pair. I'll take a picture of what's inside of them later.

I didn't know why they made these Lita Boots in such an over-the-top glitter fabric; it's so tacky. Let me say that I did not fall head over heels with these Jeffery Campbell shoes when I first saw them( pun unintended). I did wonder how they became so popular. I've been hearing about them for the past month, then I remember this theory of contagiousness we studied about in class.

Frankly, they don't suit my style at all. I'm more of kitten heel/ ballet flats girl. Lastly, why do girls try to be so narrowed-minded by declaring these monstrosities the it-shoe of the season? Yes, I do understand they are way cheaper than most high end brands, for example, the DSQUARED2 bone heels but those were not being blog about every single hour, minute, or second...

I don't care that bloggers brag about the unbelievable comfort of the heels. You are still wearing six inch heels! I highly doubt their claims due to the fact many pairs have been gifted by several companies. I know some of you want to punch me by now but let's agree to disagree. And tell me how you feel in a few months after you've move on, meanwhile your precious Lita boots are collecting dust.

I finally went to Chicago. It such an amazing city to explore and I got to meet some wonderful people. I went to get my visa application turn in and afterwards I met up with girls that are planning to attend the same school in Madrid. We set out to see the wonders of Chicago along with my dad. Granted, it was slightly colder to the beautiful fall weather we've been having lately.

I ate some of Chicago's finest pizza. My tour guide/ friend's bf, took us to Giordano's. It's ridiculously good. Also why does Chicago smell so good? Everywhere we walked by I found something yummy.

I bought tons of crap: okay it's really not crap but I did go a little crazy. Damn, I'll hate to say that I'm an impulsive shopper. I'll buy something then regret it later.Also it kind of sucks to carry bags along all those city blocks. I admire your city dwellers because I'm spoiled by Nebraska. We have to drive to get to the mall, I just walk back to the car if I have too many bags.

Look, I'm wearing all black. I thought had to dress more serious and business approve clothes. Which turn out to be completely false. The Jacket is from Zara, that's starting to fall apart, shirt is Target, the pants are from Marshalls (I think), my bag is from Francesca's Closet and the scarf is F21. I forgot where I got the earring, but they are super adorable.

I had such a fun weekend. I'm feeling so stressed out and well all I needed was some time to chill out with some friends. I can't believe that's is Wednesday already, Friday can't get here soon enough.

I also did some shopping last weekend. I bought some sexy riding boots and shiny ballet flats. I feel so amazing in them. They are by Steve Madden but they feel incredibly comfy, which is hard for me to find.

I felt really cold today. I only wore that blazer and a lace top from F21. The jeans are from American Eagle. I'm happy I wore my hat, it was so blustery outside. It saved me from having crazy hair.

The two sheos, I bought this week. The ballet flats are from TJ Maxx and the boots I got from Von Maur. Both were great deals. ♥

I plan to attend a local comic book/ anime convention this November, but I have to be in Chicago same weekend as the conference.

I wanted to make a costume from Serena or Usagi and Luna Sailor Moon. Too bad I can't use this as a Halloween costume but maybe next year. I'm not a fan of serious cosplay. If you are going to dress up, I think it's perfectly adorable do something different, by wearing a updated look. As long as you have a few recognizable accessories, I'm sure people can guess your cosplay outfit. I followed the basic color palette of the characters and reference plots from the TV show.

If you are one of those semi-professional or professional cosplayers, please try not to be so critical. I'm not the most hardcore anime fan and love to experiment with any character.

You can see that I was inspired by Serena looks: left to right; Serena as Princess Serenity; Sailor Moon, those Vivienne Westwood boots must be something that Serena would prefer other those love red ones; School Girl Serena, imagine Serena running late to class in those badass McQueen shoes lugging along her light pink bag.

If You Can't Sleep

Woah, it's the weekend, so let's party! Granted, I'm too lame or underage, to actually attend the parties at my school. I rather stay home and watch movies. Hello, Netflix and warm PJ bottoms. I'm so happy that I survived. Between work, school and driving on the busy traffic streets, I've been so tired. It's finally fall break and we are half way done.

But I've been so inspired by my last post, I needed to find something similar by shopping in my closet. I'm finally straying away from all black. I enjoy seeing more patterns and textures. All inspired by the latest Spring '11 collections and all the lovely street style photos. I haven't worn this skirt since summer. I only wore it too Target. I'm too worry to wear this without tights. Am I the only one who worries about showing too much leg?

Besides, sharing my adorable outfit. I'm so overjoyed to share some wonderful news. I finally got accepted into study abroad! I'm going to Spain next year!

Getting Dress

Today felt like one of those jeans and tee shirt kind of days. I had nowhere to go and frankly, I hate being bored. So naturally my boredom allows me time to make fantasy outfits off polyvore and watch Babies on Netflix.

I would so recommend watching Babies. It's documentary that follows four infants from the savanna desert in Africa to a sky high buildings in Tokyo. All of the babies that were recorded are beyond adorable. You have no soul if those little faces make you sigh and laugh out.

7. Netflix! If your nearby video store has recent closed, have no fear, and just get a Netflix account. Some of my personal favorite movies are just a day wait in the mail or better on instant watch! I definitely say get one, even though you'll end up staying home Friday night.
8. Home decor. I'm currently trying to find new bedsheets and home decorations for my room. I would love to buy a newer and bigger bed but that would look rather silly for my small room. I want something soft and pretty. Not sure exactly, but I'll do an update on my room soon!
9. Tall Black boots. I have searched all over the internet for a pair of new black boots. Yet, I still have not made a purchase. I love to wear an over the knee but I'm a little short.

It's Been A Long Time

It's been a few months of waiting but I'm super excited for Sunday. Why?

I finally get to see the Mulberry for Target collection! I'm hoping to get one of the bags and not be disappointed like after the Gilt Group sale. I think they are so adorable, and I'm super pleased that most of them are animal friendly. Look at the denim one, it's tres chic. I honestly don't give a damn about the critics.

Of course, the low price tag does mean it lacks the quality as an Alexa or Baywaters bag. But really I think this collaboration has to be one of my all time faves. Have you've seen the collection? Do you plan on buying one from Target? (Sorry to all those non-US readers).

Current Obsessions

I've already had such a shitty week. I had two tests and a presentation on Monday and I worked all day today. The joy of my day was grabbing a frappucino after work. Those lovely cups of strawberry creamy goodness never seem so yummy as today. In case, you just started reading my blog, I have a huge obsession with Starbucks. So naturally, I wanted to post about what's been my latest obsessions.

All we do in French is watch movies; most are set in Paris. I've been to Paris but dear god, I really would want to be there during fashion week. All the outfits and shows I've seen are so beautiful. Oh, Paris je t'aime.

I've fallen once again for pink and corals. I think it's because now I'm getting more into colors and I'm just sick of all neutrals in my closet.

Beige, gray and tan are so becoming my colors this fall. I'm trying to avoid black but I've broken that promise.

This look from Betsey Johnson has been on my mind since I saw it a few weeks ago. I need that necklace. I know it's tacky but I adore tacky things.

YSL ring, please be mine? I promise to take it off only at night. I only have few and they are silver. But this is the perfect ring that I've been wanting for such a long time.

I went to a college football game. In case, you live somewhere cooler than me, football in Nebraska is A BIG DEAL. People are so excited for September, not for fashion week like me, but for football season. I have lived here all my life and never gone to a single game, until this past Saturday.

It's not that I dislike football, it's actually very entertaining. I did go to games in high school (About two a year) but I've never understood the game. I still don't get it because I hear people people use the terms and talk like their opinion should determine how well the team is going to play.
Besides, I'm instantly out-casted by football fans because I prefer real football/ soccer.

But sorry about my rant, here's pictures of infamous Lincoln, Nebraska and Memorial Stadium.

Overall, the game was fun and my team won 17-3. I'm wearing a Nebraska tee with a hood and I borrow the second hoodie from my mom. It was cold! Also I wore boots that I wore all last winter. It is a great idea to wear boots, I'd recommend to any of my readers. Your feet stay warm and you don't have to worry about your feet hurting when drunken fans step on them.

Also I explore the campus after the game. It way bigger than mine but I'm glad I chose the small commuter college after seeing the messy and tiny dormitories. haha.

Omaha= Fashion?

I know I've complain numerous times about the lack of appreciation for fashion in Omaha. Let's face it typically would not think anything special about some girl blogging on and on about shoes would not be stuck living in a small city. But this week Omaha, held is third year of Omaha Fashion Week. I find extremely fascinating because finally more people are less interested in bootcut jeans and hooded sweatshirts.

I seriously did not know much about the designers until recently. I know many of them are my peers and that most will not read my words but I hope the blogging community can see that Omaha does have a presence in fashion.

But sadly I didn't go to the runway show, because I had plans to attend a wedding. I knew months in advance I wouldn't be going.

But here's is my review of a few local designers. I'm sorry if this comes off as catty but I'm just being honest. Also sorry for the length of the post but I still hope you enjoy all the pictures and commentary.

Wendy Stiff is the designer for these first few. I find the material way to cheap and the whole barbie doll vibe looks tacky. The only thing I really like it the hair.

Second designer, ( I think her name is Sabrina Jones) had more appeal. The silhouettes were quite chic. These two dresses had to be some of my favorites. Both won't over done, just clean and simple. Reminded me of some trends seen from NYFW.

Third designer, had some super pretty dresses but her separates could use some help. I'm not sure why but some items seem they were made for Forever 21 mindset. Which is totally understandable because it really relates to the kind of clothes girls living in Omaha want to purchase.

Did you see the episode on Project Runway, when that guy kick out for making a dress out a paper palm tress? This is definitely more detail but still just as awful. I'm feeling the vibe but reminds me too much of Alexander McQueen SS10. It's possible that the designer want to pay homage to his recent death.

Now we have a newcomer to the fashion world, KKINI by Micheala Cawley. Apparently, Lindsey Lohan wore one of her designs on a cover of a magazine. I want one of these bathing suits for next summer. She's was one the best designers during this whole show. I know bathing suits aren't the most coveted items but her's look so sexy and fun.

There's so many more designers. I'll keep a lookout for any other designers that participated in the shows during this part week.

One more thing, Omaha definitely need more lovely models and our own Sartorialist. These photos lack that certain charm Scott brings to his photos.

Why the hell is Wrangler Austrailia so damn cool?

Look how sexy those those shorts and bodysuit are from the lookbook. I seriously want to go out and buy a pair. I checked out the US site, but then I saw some race car driver and knew these were still the same jeans that my father buys for when he does work on the cars. How sad, that they decides to only sell this lovely stuff outside it's country of origin.

I have the worst time buying jeans. I only have 5 pairs. I recently bought some from American Eagle. I actually like how they fit and the darker ones are so much nicer than the lighter, bleached ones. Please tell me, where do you buy your jeans?

What makes me Beautiful

This video by bubzbeauty, that just brought the biggest smile to my face. I though it share with everyone in hope they will feel amazing and BEAUTIFUL! ♥

I had an amazing weekend. I spend my Saturday in an Apple orchard, and ate so many yummy foods. Too bad I forgot my camera. No worries I'm going back next weekend! It felt so amazing to go and spend a day away from my computer screen. I always feel so confident and beautiful when I'm with people that love me for who I am.
If it's not obvious, I'm feeling pretty awesome today. I also want to say thank you lovelies for the birthday wishes.

Camera Missing

So, my mother currently has my camera. Sadly, I can't take any pictures of the new dress I got from Urban Outfitters yesterday. I bought as a present to myself. But who cares because today is still my birthday!

If I Only Had Three Wishes

It's hard to believe but my 20th birthday is in a few days. It's this Thursday in case you're curious. I'm not kind of girl that throws lavish parties or demands overpriced items for one particular day. Besides, birthdays come only one day each year. I much prefer a gift from friends because they thought if be something I would love to own or make me feel happy.

If you are feeling generous. Here's a helpful list of things that would would make me extremely happy.

I'm seriously not worry about what I want for my birthday. Actually, I wouldn't mind if all my friends and family gave me one thing. For example, I'd be so excited if they would buy me the Nikon 3100. It's basically everything I want in DSLR camera. I'm so in love now. I never get so worked up about electronics but this camera is the one. Too bad, it comes out in a few weeks and I would have to wait for it's arrival. I'm terribly impatient, so I might buy the older version.

Also I wouldn't mind getting a high end wallet. I'm not big on purses. I much prefer shoes, if the polyvore doesn't make it that obvious. Either one by Marc by Marc Jacobs or Mulberry would satisfy my cravings.

Lastly, I've noticed that I have made any trips to Sephora or any makeup counter in awhile. I always feel that if I can't buy shoes or clothes. That makeup helps control my impulse shopping. I've been searching now for sweet nude and coral lipsticks and some dark purple nail polish for fall. It would definitely stand out because I typically wear some shade of pink.

Anyways, I plan on having a very mellow birthday this year. Besides nothing special happen when you turn 20. Too young to drink and I still can't go to cool bars.

If your birthday is in September, I hope you have an exciting one. Also it's getting so cold. It's below 60 where I'm living. So exciting to see the seasons change. Best wishes to everyone.

These beginning two days of September have been just some taste of fall. It's been so cool and rainy all day and I'm just so thrilled that I brought out my boots and jackets. But for some odd reason I didn't wear them.

Its just nice to have them out so I can figure out my inspiration for fall, especially since NYFW is right around the corner. Sadly I won't be anywhere near the festivities of Fashion Night Out. I would do anything to be in New York right now.

I didn't wear the shoes and sock outside my house but I plan on wearing them. Also are rolled jeans still acceptable? It was the only way I could show off my high heels and socks combination.

I hope you all enjoying your week. Dearies, do you have any special plans for the four day weekend? I'm spending the weekend with the family and going to the fair!

She & Him played this past Saturday. Unless you live in a cave or don't have a tumblr, Zooey Deschanel is the lead singer. Also M. Ward, is part of the band. Basically they are musical wet dream.

They had one of longest set lists, almost of an hour and half of them playing. It was totally worth of the price of admission. I'd recommend everyone to check them out.

Sadly, they didn't play any songs by the Smiths. But the best part is when they brought out Omaha music legend Mike Mogis, from Bright Eyes.

Sigh, I wish I hadn't came so late and saw the opening band. I heard they were pretty good. I also only snap a few pictures but it's hard to take photos outside in the dark.
