Explain It To Me

Good day, it's been a rather rough week. So much terror, I knew that so many people felt scared. My heart really does go out to Boston.  Also the explosion in Texas, made shocked waves.  Thankfully, we all can breathe better this weekend. Monday, is a brand new start for everyone. I'm so in awe of those that stand strong and continue to live life.

It was such a carefree and fun weekend. I'm still waiting for spring. It's been lots of rainfall and chilly nights. I've tried to put on a smile but I want to wear bright dress and sandals.

1. Finding this medium size bag at Marshalls, it was a steal and reminded me of a certain designer bag that fancy bloggers like to carry.


2. Glitter tip manicure. pssh, that's not an engagement ring. I'm quite confuse as to why everyone thinks it's one, just because I like to wear it on my left hand.


3. Drinking a classic Shirley Temple, I'm never too old to order one.


4. Do I even need to explain? I've jumped onto the whole frozen yogurt trend.


5. Discovering a new bands. I saw Nice & Pretty and Jukebox The Ghost last Friday. You all need to check them out. They sang a cover a song of "That Thing You Do."

Two Love

There some days I'm in love with winter. It hard to describe how I feel when the skies are gray and light snow is falling. Also it helps to be driven around in style. These glorious winter nights are slowly fading, last week I had small taste of spring that I even wore ballet flats.

Then this past Friday, winter reminded me that I have to wait another month for spring. It started while I was out eating with friends. Beautiful, fluffy snowflakes were falling down. It all looked magical. When leaving the restaurant we all gathered into my dream car, a small red BMW. (It's not mine, it belongs to my friend). I headed out to deal with the snow, we ate and than partied at local bar. Overall, it was such an amazing night!

Yum! Crepes for dinner. I order pork one from the newest European style restaurant called The Corner Creperie. I really enjoy the full coffee bar also. I'm always in the mood for a light vanilla latte. I'll be back again!


 Now, I'm afraid I have to endure another snowmargeddon. #midwestgirlsproblems

Brrrrrr

It's been a long and cold week! I've been staying home, reading and catching up on a few of my favorite TV shows. The winter time, for myself, is quite hard. I dread going outside, unless I have four or more layers of clothes. I'm currently on the hunt for a new black boots and more faux fur items. Lusting over few items over on pinterest.

 Also I find myself indulging all sorts of cravings, mostly food. Nothing fancy, just a simple plate with a satisfying beverage. This week had some highlights, such as Irish Coffee at reverse happy hour a local pub. Also checkout a new Central American restaurant. It's my ideal comfort food. Reminded me of how much I miss Panama!








 This bakery gives out free bread slices. I'm there at least once a week. I'm not ashamed, also they have cheap coffee.

Same Girl, New Year

 Happy 2013! Yay it's my first post for the day. Timing is always key. Reflecting on my past inspires myself to do more and be better each year. I'm not going to discuss my goals and dreams for start but instead reflect a little on myself. One of goals is live more in the moment and not worry too much about life.

 I feel quite bitter to say goodbye, I'm not saying goodbye just to a wonderful year but saying 'au revoir' to some dear friends. I'm terrible at goodbyes. I cry and curse all at the same time.  It must seem that I'm exaggerating but truthfully I will be an emotional wreck. I'm trying hard not to think about them leaving soon. I'm hopefully going to over to visit my friends during the summer. Working on a few memory books for my friends. I discussed all my thoughts with a friend about the book. Some of the best gifts we can give are the ones we take time and effort to make.

Last weekend I attended a slumber party. The girls all sat around fixing up pretty cupcakes and trying out new makeup techniques. One of my friends did my makeup. I have to admit sometimes being silly is all a girl needs to better. Also spending a whole night with girls is such a great excuse to catch up. Must post my tips for any slumber party.

Silly

Blizzard Time

Last night, the announcement all over the news declared that snow was coming. Today, I went out to get some coffee and chat with friends downtown. We were all so cheerful and talking about all the activities we planned to do since we all be stuck at home for a day or two. I personally adore snow days. Granted, I'm dying to move far away from winter. However, all my relatives down in South America have never experienced lazy snow days.

Things to do during a snow day/ blizzard:

• Wear a cozy sweater and leggings. No need to dress up to snuggle with my dogs on the couch. 
• Read a few novels that are lying around. I have small stack of books that I haven't found the time to read. Snow days are the perfect opportunity to check off a few books from this list that I must read before I'm 25. 
• Craft a few gifts for those loved ones. 
• Go for a winter walk. I haven't done a walk in the snow in forever! Time to bust out my favorite furry hat and a cute snow boots. 
• Skype with friends
• Turn on a fire, I don't have one but I'm going to turn on this endless fireplace.
• Go sledding. 
• Charge all electronics. 
• Gather candles, place in safe areas and light them up for more ambiance. I just imagine living in the beginning of the 20th Century. We have advance so much that not even snow can effect our lifestyle. Even if the power doesn't go off, I'll light up a candle. They smell so good. 
• Create a mood board. 
• Scrapbook! It's a personal project for a few friends that are moving away but I'm excited to show them my finish product.
• Lastly, spend time with my family. It's so special to see family gathering together.

Hello December

I'm still in utter disbelief that 2012 is almost done. It feel likes a the world is changing, soon I'm done with classes and finals, than graduation and working possibly full time. I'd be lying if I didn't think this is all coming quickly. As if it sneaked up behind me. Yes, I'm terrified what I'm doing but I'm a typical Virgo that freaks out over nothing.

lately, I've been coveting a few small items, such as the adorable bike sold at Target by Alice and Olivia. I wish it stays there. My weakness towards things with a little bit of sparkle, has developed a new obsession. I keep on buying statement collars; that I'm proudly showing off on my instagram page. Oh, all I want for this season is fun structured options that look sharp and professional.

Weekend Loves

OMG! Happy weekend to everyone. I had a grand, fun weekend: dinner with friends, donuts, browsing through records and lots and lots of food.

October has proved to be quite an eventful month. I swear I can't even begin to explain my busy schedule. I'm truly feel happy to be getting outside  and doing more. My goal for the school was to gain more life experience. I see myself changing into an adult. Soon, the semester will be over and I will be officially be a college graduate. I'm so excited I could cry right now.

We Drink

I wanted to share with you all these pictures from Oktoberfest. . I can't deny how I adore being out with just a small group of guys. I used to hang out with a group of boys back in high school. Although, I can't say I miss the smell! Now, I found a wonderful group of friends. I just ended being the only girl that wanted to tag along to drink beer and get authentic German food.



Just being the only girl, these are my thoughts and tips on how to handle guys.
1. Don't bitch. It they want to climb a tree, wall, etc. Let them fall and then help them to the car.


2. Forget about makeup. They won't even notice a little smudging or lack of lipgloss.

3. Drink up. Please don't order anything too fruity. I always order a simple glass of wine or beer. They can't make fun of me for whatever I choose to drink.


4. Arguments are pointless. Most of the guys I hang out, we never fight. Some discussion get heated but the next day they call and want to hang out.


5. They notice details. I hate when girls complain that guys never notice silly things. Guess what, they notice they just don't know what to say. One guy, asked if I changed my hair color. It's been over two weeks and I could of snapped at him, instead I thanked him for compliment and moved on. Also look how involve they are about their beer. 


Lastly, I'm not dating any of these fine gentleman. I love them all like a brother. But who knows maybe one day, I'd get an actual date

Feeling So Good

Finally done with the semester and meaning it's time to party and drinking!  . Thursday night,  was the end of the semester and time to say farewell to a couple of friends. I went to this small bar where we celebrated, laughed and played beer pong, the bar only let us play with water though. It was my first time ever playing beer pong! I could barely make a shot. I always say I will try something once. I just never figured out that it would be so much fun. Again it was only water but losers (moi) bought the winners some cute guys a drink. Also, I just turn 21 a few months ago and I haven't had many drink mixes. So tell me, what is  your favorite drink recipe or liquor?

Too Much Cuteness

I went a small excursion with some lovely British kids to the Madrid Zoo-Aquarium. It was one of my favorite  parts of Madrid! They had a large variety of animals.

The zoo main attraction is easily the two baby Panda Bear cubs. No joke, I spent over 30 minutes taking pictures and watching them move around. They are such clumsy creatures. I was just happy they were sleeping.

It's hard not to smile at these small pictures. My favorite is when the zoo keeper came out to see how the cubs were doing. He looks like an father scolding his small children. I seriously wanted to give one of them a big hug!

Love Between The Sheets

This weekend was all about love. Nothing can compare to joy of seeing two people becoming one. 

 I spent most of my time on the dance floor. I could anyone resist the ChaCha Slide or a Micheal Jackson song.

Also they played a lot of salsa music. I'm also one of the worst dancers but I still enjoy it. Most of the people were having just as much as me.

Sitting at the table, we were waiting for the food. I wore the black dress. It was actually more comfortable than what I thought. The day was so humid, hence the crazy hair. I don't understand why, I'd straighten it. 

I love the rock candy sticks, they had around the dessert table. Other guests said the candy for the little kids but I swipe one for myself.

I thought the tea candles were the cutest part of the table. I love DIY decorations at wedding. It adds a personal touch. Also purple flower and black lace was a beautiful combination.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Now let's try to survive the rest of this one.
