She & Him played this past Saturday. Unless you live in a cave or don't have a tumblr, Zooey Deschanel is the lead singer. Also M. Ward, is part of the band. Basically they are musical wet dream.

They had one of longest set lists, almost of an hour and half of them playing. It was totally worth of the price of admission. I'd recommend everyone to check them out.

Sadly, they didn't play any songs by the Smiths. But the best part is when they brought out Omaha music legend Mike Mogis, from Bright Eyes. 

Sigh, I wish I hadn't came so late and saw the opening band. I heard they were pretty good. I also only snap a few pictures but it's hard to take photos outside in the dark.

Dangerous and Sweet

So far, school is killing me. I'm feeling stressed and a bit down right now. I decided to wear something bright day while I went to class. It kind of help my mood today. 

Notice something different about my outfit? I'm wearing color!

Pink is just one of those colors, I don't particularly like to wear on a daily basis. Granted my iPod is pink but honestly, it's one of those colors I tend to stay far away from.

ps. I'm almost forgot to say this. She & Him are performing this weekend in Omaha. I'm feeling like this concert is going to be unforgettable.

So Long Summer

 Finally, the first day of classes have arrived. It's unavoidable for most of us. It's kind of sad but refreshing. I'm not saying that I want to spend my days in a small, badly lit lecture; but I ready to see those old faces that get me through each week. Also it's time, I've visited Starbucks. 

I'm already finalizing a list of things I would like to accomplish this semester. First, I must find a job. I've been trying so hard but only gotten a few interviews. Secondly,I'm trying to raise my GPA. It's gonna be hard but I just need to focus hard on all my assignments. 


But my french class is pretty fucking awesome. The professor looks crazy in her granny floral night gown dress but the whole class is based on discussions over French cinema. The first movie we have to watch is Amelie. Oh, this might be the most excited I've been over any class I've ever taken.

Lastly, when I came home I found my Maltese laying on my laptop. Is he just the cutest thing?

This Fire is Out of Control

I had one super busy weekend, that included attending two parties and a baseball game. I went to see the Yankees play in Kansas City against the Royals.  I won't deny I'm not a Yankee fan because I'm a loyal to the Red Sox. But here's a picture, I wore stripes but I refuse to put on anything that has a Yankee logo. Also I'm very proud to show off for the first time my new fedora. I purchase from the Urban Outfitters sale. I'm in love with hats but I only have two summer hats.

Below, is an outtake from the photo shoot. I had last week at with my friend, Liz. She collects vintage and definitely has a more fascinating style then me. Her mom gave her this suit, but sadly that skirt does not fit her. I tried it because we were putting together outfits. She wants to sell the suit but I told her to give to me. I would love to wear both pieces together and separately. Too bad I forgot to snap a picture of the buttons, they are so lovely.

Anyways, I understand why she would want to give up something so special. I have plenty of items from my mom, that I should get rid because they aren't part of my style or it doesn't fit me right.

You Know What I Mean

Today, it felt like a sauna. I took cute photos outside and we were back inside 10 minutes later. I'm sure that my friend that helped me take these photos felt the same.

My camera also made the photos looks kind of blurry due to the humidity. Does your camera fog up?

The dress is great for super for sunny days. I'm hoping to add more fun patterns like this one to my wardrobe and this dress needs to find a way to be more fall appropriate.


 I didn't know how to wear it at first but my friend lend me her white belt and I threw on these lovely cuffs for a romantic look. Also my necklace is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. I wear it all the time. Sorry about the shoes. I forgot to grab a better pair while I practiced driving in those.

Look the pretty wrapping paper and she also wrote the sweetest note. Thanks a million times over and over again. I had no idea what she sent me but I absolutely love these cuffs.

I'm Ready for Fall

Guess what? It's that time of the year again. You all should know what I'm talking about. It's time to run up to your local Target, Best Buy or office supplies store. Let me say that I'm addicted to office supplies.  I'm also dying for classes to start because that means the end of the year will be here closer. 


I'm currently writing a list of things, I probably will purchase for fall classes, besides the crazy amount of  books. I want to see if I can buy a new camera.  I pray that it will be here by my birthday.I'm super bored today. So I got on polyvore and made of list of things I would like to find for fall. 

I'm not at all a fan of jewelry. But now I'm trying to find something shiny and fun to add to my outfits. I also really want to find sundresses that can be easily pass on to fall and winter by adding some tights and a cardigan. Lastly,  this year I have to attend a couple more formall events at my university so modest skirts and a super fitted black blazer. 


What are you forward to wear this fall? Is any one excited for fall classes to start?
