BLACKFRIDAY

I'm not a big fan of Black Friday but I did my daughter duty and helped my mom and dad at Target last night at 9pm. I'm so pleased with my experience, because it was super easy to get inside and the crazies didn't show up.  What did my family buy? My dad begged me to grab a 32 inch flat screen.

I just wanted to snag a few sweaters  and a new blender. I'm not a big fan for electronics and couldn't comprehend why people waited so long in the line for iPhones and iPads. My mom grabbed up a few house appliances for my brother, that is moving out next month. He was quite happy that we did this favor for him, while he sat in outside in front of a sporting goods store. They gave out free food and coffee! How sweet for the those poor souls standing out all night.

I had a good night's sleep and I woke up at 7 and went off to buy a few more things at the mall.
I went to JC Penny's, and Express. We were in and out by 11:30  and went home to watch Husker College Football. Now I'm all bundled up in sweats. It's quite frigid and I don't want to leave my house! Time to spend the night with a little reading material and a cup of hot cocoa.

Also so many thanks and hugs to everyone!

Meow Meow

Hello Cat Ladies! It must be time for small update but I have way too many things I want to share about my fall break and it's not quite over! I went to see Motion City Soundtrack, Jukebox The Ghost and Now Now.  All of them played in the Slowdown, near downtown Omaha. It's one of my favorite places to see bands play live.  Afterwards, I hung out with some boys and the band members. I'm not going to lie but the piano player is quite the charmer. I become such flirtacious girl when musicians talk to me. I wish I got their number.

I don't even own a cat but I adore all furry animals. T shirt was sold by Now Now. It was so cute and they told the crowd how Meow Meow is a code name for drugs in the K. Such a clever way to promote the sales. I even got a few records.

Let Me Go Boom

Fall break has commenced and I don't have school until Wednesday. Sadly, I have to work on a few intense homework assignments and I have a large amount of reading, that I shall do while sitting in a local coffee-shop. Enjoyed a lovely fall week, and just took a few pictures from my iPhone via Instagram.

Fireworks. At first, I freaked out and ran outside in the cold to watch.

Lastly, I splurged a little and I bought something from Zara.

Thanks for reading!

My Friend, My Foe

How is possible that I can do things with such little sleep? I must depend too much on drinking coffee and protein bars. I don't how to explain my justified love about sipping a warm, large latte. Besides wanting coffee every morning, there are tons of reasons to cheer up and enjoy the start of a new season. Still, I can't help but linger onto summer. I always wish that I live in tropical weather. Although I'm big fan of cozy knits, I would prefer a day out in the sun.  Time to find more fall inspiration. I just wish the weather would stay at its current level.

Currently in love with these images.  No original sources, all found via my tumblr and pinterest. I do not claim to own any unless otherwise stated.

Unbirthday

First wonderfully cool day just happened to appeared. It felt so refreshing. I even had to run back inside, just to put on a light scarf during the morning commute.

My friends took me out this weekend to celebrate my birthday. I told them about how unamused I felt about turning 22 last weekend. I finally over birthdays and the whole celebration. I gladly will accept presents. I love presents anytime!

In fact all weekend, I felt a little grumpy. It must be a combination of allergies and early stress. I need to plan a getaway for fall break next month.

Family Drama

Hey readers, I've said how much I love the mutiple choices for dressing during fall. It's so easy to wear an outfit that keeps myself warm and comfortable in the morning. By the afternoon, I don't have to removed any items because it's still cool enough to wear layers.

I'm so excited for Thanksgiving next week. My whole family is coming to Omaha. Also it's my adorable grandpa's 80th birthday during the same weekend. Now to figure out what to wear to both events. I don't plan on dressing up too much. I've been told that over 60 people will attend both events. I'm one of 40 nieces and nephews! My family most likely will be have a variety of worn light colored jeans, ironic slogan t-shirts, aged college sweatshirts, and dusty work boots. I never worry about how they dress but I tend to hear some mocking about my clothes.

My wardrobe is slightly different.I love wearing dresses to any type of event but I considering my family style. I try to tone it down but I can't help but show off my "princess" status. My cousins swear that I am from my mother's side of family, that makes me feel like a black sheep. I don't understand why they call me out for taking time to put on makeup or buy clothes all the time. I don't me to whine. I hate that seems that I only care all about me. I understand that they might never accept my style. I'm proud to stand out of the crowd. I'm not going to stop anytime wearing heels and skirts. Does any one feel like a style snob around the relatives?

I Don't Know You At All

Where did this week go? I'm ready for weekend. I plan on checking out a few parties and taking a break from exams and homework. Also, I did pass my math test this week. I tried to hold back my tears, last week after failing two quizzes. I told my family my discouragements about this class. I never felt so relieved after . I really need to pass this class to graduate next spring. I really wish I could take a small trip. I'm constantly looking for good travel deals. I'm surprised how well the photos turned out, I only had a few minutes before running to class.

I felt the need to reward myself after working so hard this month. It's time to go shopping! Now I found two beautiful pieces this week. This gorgeous thick knit striped and metallic sweater from Ann Taylor and these perfect leopard heels. They're not too high to wear to class! This is such a comfy outfit for those cool days that nobody has an idea to wear. I

I would love to find some more sweaters like the one above. Sigh, any suggestions for around the internet? I already need to wear layers and boots. I already see the snowfall around the country. It's coming soon!
Have a fun Halloween weekend! Be safe and eat lots of candy!

Golden Days

I'm finally back!  I feel like I'm almost never home. Either I'm working or in a classroom. It was wonderful to get outside of my routine. I felt like staying home this weekend. Just time to curl up on the sofa and watch a few flicks. Yay!

Last weekend, I saw the beauty of the country side. I would would be so comfortable to country living, if I had reliable transportation and frequently visited the city. According to the people I talked to along the way and back, Omaha be would such a challenge and they would never move to such a large community. I giggled because I had to sympathize with their mindset of the about lifestyle large city. I went inside this country store that sold things like camo hunting gear and yummy fudge. I just had to take photos of the animal displays.  It's so creepy but that's one of the reasons I love it.

I have a weakness for small towns. I love the quaint stores and cozy cafes. I use to dream about moving into a small town and becoming friends with the whole town. But I love living in a city. It's easy to move around here and I love the diversity in my area. Also I'm constantly finding a new hangout or local treasure. So my dear readers, what would you prefer the peace and tranquity of a country town or the constantly changing city?

It's Fall!

My weekend was fabulous! I ventured outside of my small community into the country side of Nebraska. My family has a tradition of picking apples during The Apple Festival in Nebraska City. I feel like such a little kid going outside, walking around the historic farms, and eating caramel apples. It's feels like Disneyland. The overcast sky made it feel deary but still we made the most of the day.

We drove over an hour through the thick golden fields. It's such a stereotype of my state but people are proud of being from the Cornhusker state.Besides look how lovely are those wild flowers. I did buy lots of cider and apples. It's such a perfect treat for the cooler nights.

My week is going to be so crazy. I have to work on projects and I have a small road trip up to North Dakota.  Once again thanks for reading.

My Every Growing Love....

I need to write a love letter to Target. I'm not one to denied their recent controversy but this kind of a hard drug addiction.  I want to avoid getting into my sick obsession but let me explain why I will be spending lots of time at Target this fall.

Hello, Missoni for Target. The collection overall is adorable  and all have that 70's vibe, from clothes to plates. They even made one pretty bicycle. I'll be impatiently waiting for September 15th, when this collection hits stores. Until, I'll be flirting with the cute barista at the Starbucks kiosk.

Info from here and here.

I'm sorry this is kind of boring. I've been sick and stuck in the library these past few days. I'm happy to be able to post an outfit this week. I'm quite fond of this one. I finally feel like I'm back to do regular outfit posts. I haven't worn this skirt in forever. It's quite adorable. I'm hoping to wear it again with a knit sweater.

Also do you like this ankle boots? I just got from TJ Maxx. I like the little studs around the ankle.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

So Long Summer

Finally, the first day of classes have arrived. It's unavoidable for most of us. It's kind of sad but refreshing. I'm not saying that I want to spend my days in a small, badly lit lecture; but I ready to see those old faces that get me through each week. Also it's time, I've visited Starbucks.

Drinking some Starbucks

I'm already finalizing a list of things I would like to accomplish this semester. First, I must find a job. I've been trying so hard but only gotten a few interviews. Secondly,I'm trying to raise my GPA. It's gonna be hard but I just need to focus hard on all my assignments.

But my french class is pretty fucking awesome. The professor looks crazy in her granny floral night gown dress but the whole class is based on discussions over French cinema. The first movie we have to watch is Amelie. Oh, this might be the most excited I've been over any class I've ever taken.

Dog was laying on my computer

Lastly, when I came home I found my Maltese laying on my laptop. Is he just the cutest thing?

So how was everyday? If you started school also, I wish you the best of luck.
