Paris Fashion Week Lusts

Oh hey everyone, I kind of felt a little disheartened and sadden by recent events. I wasn't feeling alright. I felt like someone tore out my heart and I'm losing a reason to blog and write.  Now let's stop before I become too personal, but I'm doing better.

last week, I kept on stalking the internet to see all the updates coming from Paris. I see fashion week coverage all over the social networks. Below are a few snapshots that captured my attention.

I want to find something fun to wear and plan a special party to celebrate since graduationis  approaching and all the holidays. Also, November is a time to be thankful, so let's all reflect on the many reasons we have to rejoice and be content.

Right Now

Does this make me sound shallow? I had a conversation with a friend over the weekend about things we would buy. I went home and immediately made a small collage of the items I was fawning over.
Sigh, I've been lusting over a few of these items over the past few months. I'm dying to get a new bag from Zara and a few neon collared necklaces. I'm so obsessed with accessories that are unique and beautiful because I love how they transform any outfit into something unique.

Things I Would Buy Right Now

We also discussed recent events and certain people in our lives. The start of the Euro 2012, distracted me from any drama. I spent all Sunday at home watching Spain vs. Italy. Time to break out the team jersey and check the local soccer(football) pub. I like to show off to the guys that I actually know what is going on during the match. Who will you be cheering for this summer? I'm supporting Spain!

Double Take

Inspired by these adorable lace jackets. Reminded me of the sixties but with a modern twist. Just add a pair of super sexy black heels and a simple black dress for a night or even day with the right accessories.

Holiday Wishlist

I'm not going to lie, I'm addicted to playing around on polyvore. I haven't used in in forever and all the sudden I'm back to making sets. It's one my favorite hobbies during the winter because I can't handle the cold and I did not have to work this weekend. I had spent such a lovely time with the family. I hung out with the family Thanksgiving day. We had an intense game of Apples to Apples granted the whole table finished 3 bottles of wine in two hours! Later I went out drinking with my brothers and their friends. I went out to store at 5 am during Black Friday. I found boots for my sister. I also loading my cart full of college football items. All the men I know love football.
As for myself, I'm trying to give hints to my own. I think it's clear that I love neon and bold colors, glitter and leather. So many goodies that have caught my eye. I plan on posting more later.
1. Leather coat, this one reminds me of the Olsens, enough said.
2/ 8. Laptop sleeve I hopefully shall get a new laptop sleeve or purse. My backpack is barely surviving the semester.
3/5 Shoes, I swear every list I include shoes. They are my biggest weakness.
4. Lime Crime Lipstick. I want them all!
6. I already mention to my parents the new Nikon J1 camera. My mother loves the variety of colors. She might get one for our trip next summer. The rest is just clothes and beautiful accessories
7. Karen Walker Sunnies, they becoming my favorite brand right now. I love these slightly cat eye frames.
Thanks for reading. Lots of love to you and all your family!

These Are So Dumb

I can't help but love these pointed wing Zoro sunglasses from Alexander Wang.

I can just imagine all the snickering and stares on campus.
Hell, I even think they are super weird. I just see someone; i.e., Batman or Catwoman would wear similar ones to keep the sun out of their eyes. Maybe that's why I find them awesome, so that way I can feel sort of like a super hero.
Do you understand what I mean? That buying a certain item can transformed you into another being. Empowering yourself, and becoming inspiration to those around.

Edit:I can also say the same things about music. In case you don't have speakers, I changed my song to be Yellow by Coldplay. I'm in the mood to see them play again.

ps. I'm feeling so romantic and poetic right now.
I need to get some sleep.

Good night everyone.

What Have I've Done?

Oh, I think I got a date.

Let me explain, a dear friend, whom happens to be a guy and pretty adorable, moved backed. He wants me to introduce him to some of my peeps and tag along to a few parties.

I am crazy, for hoping that odds are in my favor? Any suggestions?
I'm terribly confused.

Let's move on to something more fun than dating advice, like shiny, costume jewelry!
I know that I do not wear jewelry. Not all the time, but if I have time I'll put on my necklace.
It's a hassle and most of the time, I take it off because it gets in my way.
Lately, I've been starting to buy certain pieces I enjoy wearing. I guess it's part of growing up, you appreciate more refine and delicate things.

One thing I would truly enjoy would be this bracelet by Mawi.

It's possibly one the most unique items I've seen. It's perfect for girls like me, that don't like to put on two or three bracelet for the layer looked. I like things I can throw on.
Sigh, I have no money to buy it.
This bracelet has to be one of my most coveted items now.
Right next to the Wang bag.

ps. I love you all, my last post was something I truly enjoyed reading.

YOU GUYS!!!

Thanks so much for all the comments!
I'm feeling a lot better. Sometimes I don't feel like I say "thank you enough".
I just want to say that all the comments, whether short or long all make my day.

Today, I went to this thrift shop ( 1/2 for 1/2 is the name) .
And you won't believe what some crazy person gave away,

A MOTHER FUCKIN' MARC BY MARC JACOBS BLAZER!

Let me explain, I live in Nebraska and only ONE store sells Marc Jacobs. And they always sell out of the stuff I want but can't afford.
So imagine, my excitement when I find a never been worn blazer.
Whomever dropped off this blazer, I thank you.

Just wearing a t-shirts from Express, skirt from Target and leggings from F21.

I don't think I've been this excited, over a piece of clothing, since I bought my lace up Frye boots.

ps. Any one besides me watching the Olympics? I know it's London Fashion Week but I'm in love with speed skating and skiing.

pss. I did like Marc's Jacob's collection for a/w 2010.

It's here!

I'm so happy to finally get the news that Daria will be released on DVD.
I'm so excited for May 11th!
Also if you buy this, let's have a screening party.

Sorry for being so lame, everything around is a total daze. All I want to do is lay in bed, watch movies, eat ice cream etc. I know really boring stuff.
Okay, not that boring, some people are jealous of my lazy lifestyle.
I'm particularly do not like this. I'm very studious in order to keep my scholarship.
So, one could see why, after staying up until 1 am doing homework, I just want to sleep and look at editorials. Currently dreaming about NYFW, and wishing I would have some how gone to those events I read about on the blogs.

I was feeling kind of like shit this weekend. While, I was feeling pathetic, decided to buy a Pro account on flickr.

I'm actually amazed I haven't upgraded before. Most of the photos focus on stuff from high school and the concerts I attended. I also have outfit that I posted on Wardrobe Remix.
I'm also terribly OCD, I organized all my photos by sets and collections.

I told you that this was a lame post. Nothing else, I feel like writing about.
I haven't seen any collection from style.com that has gotten me excited.
In fact, I was very disappointed by Alexander Wang. Velvet, why so much?

Any one else feeling bored as me by the collections this year at NYFW?
I keep on seeing the same stuff type of designs.
I loved the fashionista post on the conspiracy behind all the velvet.

You can see me working hard, or messing around on facebook.
I'm wearing a gray dress, target tights, Very Volatile heels, and silver necklace.

I just realize that my sheets don't match. I've been sleeping with these for 2 months...
I guess now it's time to buy some that do. Silly me.

Epic Day

Screw Valentine's Day, I'm only saying that because I have no one special to celebrate with.

Don't feel sad for me. I'm still going for a pretty in pink look for class on Friday.

Enough of my jealousy, lets talk about how freaking cute these bow tie necklace and belt by Baptiste Viry!

I wish I was better a DIY, then I take some old bow tie and make my own pretty jewelry.
I need to get more creative.

I'm also terribly excited to see and read about what happens in New York this week.

Lastly, I saw the most random protest at my university because some crazies tried to come.
Kids had signs that said subway, Tupas Lives, rick roll'd etc. Also I saw a kid dance like MJ.
It was epic. I'm glad my college has such amazing students.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, or at least a fun one due to all the snow.
Just incase I forget to post. Happy Valentine's Day for all you lovers.

Monday, February 8, 2010

um, yeah....

I'm seriously confused.
Pajamas that resemble jeans?
With yellow stiches?

I read all about this new item on NY Daily News.
They look pretty cute. I probably would not notice anything special, except that the person was wearing pajamas.

I have to admit, in high school, I wore my PJ's bottoms but I stop after my mom screamed at me for wearing them to class.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of jeggings (jeans leggings). I feel nauseous just typing that. Partially because they are so unflattering; secondly most of the young sorority girls on my campus choose to wear them as jeans. I can see their underwear lines and let's not forget the Ugg boots.
I would not mind so much, if girls would cover up their backside.

So would you wear these new pants? How would you pull these off?
Or are Pajamas jeans just as bad as jeggings?

ps. Thanks for the comments. I'm so glad, I'm not the only one whom cherishes childrens TV programs.

First Real Bag

My mother wants me to stop buying cheap stuff, which I actually have been doing.
Quality items last longer and I highly doubt I will be spending thousands of dollars a month anytime soon, so buying quality will help.

So I decided that my first big purchase as an "adult", should be on a semi-expensive bag.

I never like to spend money on purses. Typically cause they end up dirty or me pouring out the contents on the ground looking for my ID.

But I kind of need one, since I typically carry a canvas one or a plastic vinyl purse.

I haven't the slightest clue about how much I should spend.
Let's say 200 maximum, I have no idea where I should start. Then I realize," holy shit I should make a polyvore collage!"

FUCK BAGS!

So I know I some of these aren't great but these are what caught me eye. I did see that bottom bag at UO that a quite an array of colors.

But I'm currenyly coveting the "diego bag" by Alexander Wang.
It's slouchy and perfect beige color.
I'd buy it in a minute except it's out of my budget.
It's either the bag or a camera.

I've stop drooling now, so wish me luck in my venture to find a new bag. Oh and should probably look into buying a camera also.

ps. Thanks for all the comments. You all are so sweet.

This Shit Takes Me Forever!

I'm so happy that I finally convince, a friend to take some photos with me.

But I forgot to charge my camera, so we only got a few pictures of my outfit. I had loads of fun,and it is easier to control when another person is snapping away.

Skirt- Target; Shirt- Von Maur; Boots- Ruff Hewn; Socks- Urban Outfitters; Scarf- Marshalls

I felt a little country, with the plaid and denim skirt. I did not realize the reference, until I saw my photos being uploaded.
Can't really tell but I'm wearing that lipstick I got from MAC, I showed in my last post. :)

How's everyone week's going?
It's been so slow and cold where I live.

Sunny Days, Where Have You Gone?

Ugh, this constant fog and rain, now snow still is making me feel sad.

I'm definitely one of those people that in order to feel better they go buy something.
I'm not a shopaholic!

I have freaking self control, trust me. I nearly bought a 100 dollar bag but I felt that it was rather huge and I am terribly picky when it comes to bags!
It's a preference thing, I never like buying them.
I rather save my money and buy pretty shoes!

But anyways, since I'm not feeling particularly great. I'm going to show off some recent purchases a little bit.

I think it's safe to say, that I'm loyal MAC customer.
There is only one my state; it's so apparent because its takes me 10 minutes to get some random makeup artists attention.

I started trying on shades of lipstick. I ended up buying Pink Nouveau. I swore I saw it on some bloggers and that's what convince me to buy it.

(Matte Green 7 is the color)
I also went off to explore my nearby Urban Outfitters. Apparently, they sell nail polish. Isn't this such a pretty shade? I smile each time I glance at my nails.

I try not to go their often; a) cause it's super pricy and I'm a broke college student, b) I tend to buy something I don't need.

But since they had small event going on for Haiti, I felt a need to go. I bought those glasses because they said all the proceeds go to HopeforHaiti. I'm a sucker for noble causes.

Best part of UO, is that all the employees are adorable and not to mention it's one of the few places that I don't feel awkward.

A few shopping regrets:
A pair sexy suede boots, I think I might go back just for them.

Also I tried on a few things, such as another jumpsuit. My best friend told me I should purchase but since it was long and strapless I had no idea where I would wear it.
I kind of regret it but they seem to have plenty. Jumpsuits aren't a very popular trend here.

I also went to Marshalls and bought an amazing, long coat. It was only 40 dollars marked down from 75.
No pictures but you'll see more soon. ;)

What do you do in order to beat the winter blues?
Any one buy something fabulous lately?

Head Wrap

I have to admit something. I'm addicted to head wear. I buy about 2-3 headbands a month. A hat every few weeks and have quite the collection of silky scarves.

But I need to know, just how does one wrap a scarf like the lovely Joana?

Oh Scott, you know just how to make girl even more excited for spring.

I'm so freaking tired of snow; I dream about flowing skirts moving about on the first day the sun begins to shines. I know spring is in the air, when I see flocks of sorority gals dressed in minis and gladiator sandals or flip flops.

I even have a similar orange red color dress, that mocks me whenever I open the closet to grab a jacket.

I thought how next year I shall be living outside the country, as I waddle over death traps of pure ice. Nearly falling a few times!

Anyways, I should not be up so late. I'm going to be in so much trouble with my morning lecture.

Winter Blues

I'm ready to get back to classes.
I have to put some money down on buying a ridiculously overprice Chemistry book.

Instead of using my Christmas money to buy my book; I went off to spend the day looking through sales racks and trying to avoid overcrowded electronic areas (I was dragged to the two biggest electronic stores looking at laptops ).

I finally bought a jumpsuit. I thought it would look odd because it's a little big for me.

Turns out to be really cozy.

Pardon, the funky sock, it's freezing.

I plan on wearing this with boots and tights. I'll even try to layer it.

The best part to me is the sleeve, they are slit of sheer gray.
Reminds me Alexander Wang.

Excuse me now, a cup of hot cocoa and plush bed are all calling me.

Goodnight.

It's All Over

Bye, bye 2009.

I wish everyone the best 2010.

Is it twenty-ten or two thousand- ten?

Not sure how I'll be saying that but this should be one interesting year.

About Me

My photo
I'm kind of cool. I like cupcakes and all things french. If you do, we'll get along great.
